GFI's (Ground Fault Interrupter), GFRPs (Ground Fault Relay Protection), GFR (Ground Fault Relay), Ground Censor and a myriad of other trade names and industry slang terms all refer to a one thing, a simple device that when working properly can put a quick stop to what could be a catastrophic electrical hazard event that can damage costly equipment or cause life threatening injuries to personal exposed to the hazards of electrical short circuits.
This life safety and protection device constantly monitors the electricity flowing throughout your building, it is a device which is installed on your building when it is built, it turns off the electricity with it detects an electrical problem. It can be typically as old as your building and must be tested and maintained for proper operation.
